Kruger, who works within the lab of major detective Jacob Mueller, Ph.D., and their peers have now been learning the X and Y chromosomes — which are delivered by semen to an egg to determine a sex—across that is offspring’s and across an incredible number of several years of development.

Intercourse chromosomes are unique, Kruger describes because as they were when the same couple of chromosomes, they separately developed distinct sets of genes. Upon examining mice intercourse chromosomes, they discovered two recently developed X-linked gene families that are located just in mice.
